Product Review -- Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

Liquid lipsticks have grown on me over the past year or so.

I used to swear them off completely because I thought they were all too drying and uncomfortable.

I've realized, though, that it comes down to the formula. There are plenty of liquid lipsticks that, while not hydrating in the least, are comfortable to wear.

And you really can't beat the longevity of a liquid lipstick.

So I was excited to try the Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick.

Because let's face it -- it's tough to find a liquid lipstick that costs just $4.99.

The Liquid Catsuit Lipsticks come in clear plastic tubes that allow you to see the shade through them. They have a doe foot applicator that has a slanted, slightly curved tip that makes it pretty easy to apply the lipstick precisely.

I purchased two shades, 924B Rebel Rose, which is a neutral rose pink, and 925B Give Me Mocha, which is a midtone rosy brown.

The formula is fairly thin but still creamy. They don't dry down right away so you can press your lips together and work with the color for about 30 seconds before they're budge-proof.

And these definitely last a long, long time. Unless I'm eating something particularly oily, I usually don't have to touch these up for 6 to 8 hours. When they do wear off, it happens evenly too, so you really don't have to fuss with them.

Keep in mind that when I want to remove them completely at the end of the day, I usually have to use an oil-based makeup remover -- regular cleanser and water don't always get the job done.

While lipsticks aren't moisturizing at all, I don't find them to be particularly drying. I still exfoliate and moisturize my lips before wearing them, but they are comfortable on the lips. They have a much softer feel, if that makes sense, than other liquid lipsticks I've tried.

Considering that they cost only $4.99, I definitely recommend checking them out if you like any of the shades.

Rebel Rose (l.) and Give Me Mocha (r.)
Rebel Rose is a great everyday color that I think would work with most skin tones. I like Give Me Mocha when I'm going to for a more subtle, warm look on my eyes because it looks fairly deep against my super fair skin. And I've got my eye on Berry Recognize the next time I decide to pick some up...

You can find the liquid lipsticks on the Wet n Wild website and anywhere that Wet n Wild products are sold.

Have you tried the Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks? Which shades are your favorites?
