Product Review -- The Balm Meet Matt(e) Ador Matte Eyeshadow Palette

I think I've made it pretty clear what a big fan I am of The Balm.

I have pretty much every eye shadow palette that they've ever put out (and most of their others, though I haven't picked up their contour palette yet. The shades just looked too dark for my skin tone, so I don't see myself getting much use out of it ... ) and I pick them up pretty much the second that they come out because I know that I'm always going to enjoy them.

Which is exactly what happened with the Meet Matt(e) Ador Matte Eyeshadow Palette -- I bought it as soon as it was available.

I have all of the other Meet Matt(e) Palettes that The Balm has put out and the matte shadow formula is one of my favorites, so I figured it was a safe bet that I'd like this one too.

Product Review -- Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Blusher

I've tried quite a few baked products over the years, and usually, I love the glowy, luminous quality that they seem to have.

However, I've found that more budget-friendly baked products can sometimes wind up being pretty sheer -- and lackluster as a result.

Still, I was curious to try the Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Blushers all the same -- mainly because they're clearly inspired by the Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blushes and I was wondering how they would compare.

Product Review -- Too Faced Peanut Butter and Honey Eye Shadow Collection

I was really excited when I heard that Too Faced was coming out with a Peanut Butter and Honey Eye Shadow Collection.

That's because the Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Shadow Collection that came out last year has been one of my favorites over the past 12 months or so. I love the warm, orange-y brown tones and pops of purple, and I love how compact the Too Faced palettes that come in the little tins are.

When I saw a photo of the Peanut Butter and Honey Palette, one shade in particular was calling my name too -- Honey Brittle, which appeared to be a lovely warm pinky orange -- so I was sold from the get go.

Product Review -- Stila Matte 'N Metal Eye Shadow Palette

The last thing I probably need in my makeup collection is an eye shadow palette with soft, natural colors in an even mix of matte and metallic finishes.

Because let's face it -- I have more than enough of those to last the rest of my life.

But as soon as I saw the shades in the Stila Matte 'N Metal Eye Shadow Palette, I was kind of obsessed.

I have been a big fan of pinky or rosy brown and copper shades over the past few months, and the Matte 'N Metal Palette has plenty of those.

I also appreciate having an even amount of both matte and metallic shadows because that means I don't have to go pulling out another palette or single shadow to do a complete eye look.

So even though the palette is on the pricier side -- $49 -- I decide to pick it up.

Product Review -- Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Powder

Like a lot of people, I live for a good highlighter.

So even though I have a drawer full of them, I'm always on the hunt for the next best highlighting product -- and if it happens to be a budget-friendly product, all the better.

There certainly are quite a few drugstore highlighters that do a nice job -- the e.l.f. Baked Highlighters have been a favorite of mine for a while now -- but I have had some trouble finding one that offers as intense a highlight as some of my higher end favorites.

Until I tried the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Powder.

Product Review -- Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation

I've stayed away from cushion products because they just seem too gimmicky to me.

I mean, I'm not sure I even understand what the benefit of them is supposed to be.

That you can carry liquid products with you on the go without worrying about them spilling?

That may be important to some people, but I typically don't touch up foundation throughout the day so that really isn't much of a selling point for me.

Still, I have been a little bit curious because I am a total makeup junkie so when I spotted Maybelline's Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation at CVS when Maybelline products were on sale, I decide to give it a try.
