Product Review -- NYX Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette

I am a pretty big fan of the NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks.

They're one of the more comfortable liquid lipstick formulas that I've tried, and I like the shade range features a bunch of nudes that suit pretty much every skin tone.

So when I saw that NYX had come out with a powder eyeshadow palette inspired by the Lip Lingerie Lipsticks, Lid Lingerie, I had to give it a try.

Product Review -- Wet n Wild Color Icon Rainbow Highlighter in Unicorn Glow

Rainbow highlighters have been all the rage over the past year.

I have to admit, I wasn't all that into them.

Blue, green, and purple highlighters have always been a little intimidating to me, which is probably the main reason for my disinterest.

I also don't really see the point of the rainbows shades in a single product -- it's not like all of the shades are going to be distinct on the skin, so it seems more gimmicky than anything else.

But I've come around on the idea of highlighters in unique shades, such as blue and green, and when I saw that Wet n Wild had put out the Color Icon Rainbow Highlighter in the shade Unicorn Glow, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to try the trend without spending too much.

Product Review -- MAC Eyeshadow X 15: Cool Neutral Palette

It's been quite some time since I did any real shopping at MAC.

There's really no reason for that -- I did get a little worn out by how frequently they seem to introduce limited edition collection over the past five years or so, but there are still a lot of great products in the permanent line that I enjoy so I have no real issues with the brand.

So recently, I was poking around their site and came across a product that I've actually been interested in for a while -- the MAC Eyeshadow X 15: Cool Neutral Palette.

Product Review -- Sephora Collection Mixology Eyeshadow Palette

It's been a long time since I last tried products from Sephora's own makeup line.

I've never had a really bad experience with any of the items I have tried -- which were mainly confined to single eyeshadows, eyeliners, and lipsticks -- but there are just so many other brands and products to try that I sometimes forget about the house brand.

During the recent VIB sale, though, a Sephora Collection item caught my eye and I figured that it was as good a time as any to give the range another try.

Everything about the shades in the Mixology Eyeshadow Palette screamed my name, so it was kind of a no-brainer.

Product Review -- Wet n Wild photofocus Concealer

A few months ago, I bought the Wet n Wild photofocus Foundation and really liked it.

It does have a tendency to cling to dry patches, but if I moisturize and use a good primer, it looks really natural and nice the skin.

I would describe the coverage as light to medium, so it does require a concealer if you have more severe discolorations that you want to camouflage.

It just happens that Wet n Wild put out a concealer to go with the foundation, the photofocus Concealer, and because I liked the foundation so much, I was really excited to try it.

Product Review -- Benefit Cheek Parade Bronzer and Blush Palette

When it comes to blushes, bronzers, and other cheek products, Benefit is definitely at the top of the class.

Their Rockateur Blush is one of my favorite blushes ever made -- it's just the perfect rose gold shade and pairs well with so many different eye and lip looks that I wind up wearing it a ton.

I also love Hervana and Coralista, so let's suffice it to say that I have a fairly large collection of Benefit's boxed blushes.

Still, whenever they put out their blush and bronzer palettes, I'm always a tempted, even though they are usually duplicates for blushes I already have. But I've never tried Benefit's famous Hoola Bronzer, which is usually included in the palettes -- and I don't know that I need a full size of it because it seems pretty dark and my skin is so fair -- so I find myself thinking that it might be worth it to pick one up.

Well, their newest blush and bronzer palette, the Benefit Cheek Parade, was the one that finally reeled me in because not only does it contain Hoola, it also features the newer Hoola Lite, which is probably a better fit for my pale skin, and Benefit's newest blush shade.

Product Review -- Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayons

While I've gotten more swept up in the matte lipstick craze than I ever expected to, I always prefer a creamy, slightly shiny lip product.

They're just easier to wear because you don't have to worry about your lips being perfectly smooth and you don't wind up with dry, chapped lips after a day of wearing them.

So I was interested to try the Maybelline Baby Lips Color Balm Crayons. The original tinted Baby Lips Balms are a favorite of mine -- I always have one in my purse so I have foolproof lip color to throw on during the day -- so I liked the idea of a product that combined the comfortable, moisturizing feel of those balms with some more intense color.

Product Review -- The Ordinary High-Spreadibility Fluid Primer

I have enlarged pores and dry skin.

That doesn't seem to be a combination that most makeup companies understand.

Well, at least in my experience.

Most pore-filling primer are designed to mattifying too, while most hydrating primers don't do much to fill in the pores.

I can make do by using a pore-filling primer on my nose and cheeks and a hydrating formula on the rest of my face, but it would be nice to have a single product that could do it all.

That's why I was so interested to try The Ordinary's High-Spreadibility Fluid Primer.
