In the few months that I've been playing with ColourPop products, I've become a serious fan.
Not only are their Super Shock Shadows and Lippie Stix super affordable at just $5 a piece, the formulas of both are majorly impressive. I've had such fun playing with my eye shadows and their lipsticks and liners have become my go-to lip products so far in 2015.

So when I heard they were adding blushes to their product line, I just knew I had to try them.
Currently, the Super Shock Cheek Blushes are available in 20 shades -- and they're all so gorgeous that I kind of wanted to order every.single.one.
But I was a good girl and only picked up four: Birthday Suit, a neutral mauve-y pink with a satin finish; Prenup, a plummy pink with a satin finish; Trickery, a light peach with a satin finish; and Holiday, a matte pinky coral.

The blushes come in the same white plastic pot packaging as the shadows, but these contain 4.2 grams of product as compared to the 2.1 grams for the shadows.
They're very similar in consistency and texture to the Super Shock Shadows, though I think the formula might be a tiny bit creamier. As a result, they blend very easily into the skin.
(And like the Super Shock Shadows, it's important to close the pots tightly so the blushes don't dry up.)
I would say that they are somewhat on the sheer, though, which provides a really natural look on the cheeks -- and the good news is, if you want a more intense look for your blush, they layer extremely well because the formula is so thin.
ColourPop suggests applying with fingertips for the most pigmented look, though a flat synthetic cheek or foundation brush or duo-fiber brush works well too (the duo-fiber provides the sheerest application, which may help fair skinned folks who want to rock some of the darker or brighter shades.)
Personally, I start my application with a e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush to blend the blush from the apples of my cheeks back toward my cheekbones and hairline. Then I dab a little more on the apples of my cheeks with my fingers because that's where I want the most intense color.
In addition to looking really natural and applying and blending easily, I find that the Super Shock Cheek Blushes also last pretty well too -- I can get five or six hours of wear out of them, which is pretty good for me with blushes.
I love all of the shades that I purchased, but Birthday Suit and Trickery are probably my favorites. Birthday Suit is the perfect everyday blush no matter what you're doing with your eyes or lips, while Trickery is great everyday option if you're going for a warm look with your eyes and lips.

I definitely recommend checking out these blushes. I've already placed an order for a couple more.

Fist off: they look just gorgeous in the pot! I especially like "prenup".The colour pay off surprises me though since "birthday suit" and "prenup" aren´t too far off each other in the swatches. It´s really interesting to see a brand take a step back - I mean, at some point everyone wanted just BAM-colours and pigmentation had to be so high that you could basically cough on a blush and end up with too much on your face.

Prenup is pretty much a deeper version of Birthday Suit, so you could say they're not both necessary but I can totally justify both. :) And I hear you about overly pigmented blushes. I know we all go crazy about things being super pigmented, but when you've got fair skin, that can actually make a product more difficult to work with. Don't get me wrong -- I don't want to pay for something totally sheer, but it's nice to have something right in the middle that you can build up on days when you need more.
