Review -- Tarte Leave Her Blushing Set of 3 Amazonian Clay Blushes and Brush

The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes are my favorite blushes in the world.

I know that probably sounds rather dramatic, but of all the blushes I've tried -- and I've tried quite a few -- I can't think of any others that are as pigmented, smooth, blendable, and long-lasting as the Tarte blushes.

I probably wear them at least 3 days out of the week, which, if you consider how many different blushes I own, definitely means something.

So I am totally thrilled that Tarte has started including these fabulous blushes in their holiday sets.

Last year, they put out a set of four mini Amazonian Clay Blushes.

This year, the Leaving Her Blushing Set contains 3 mini blushes (1.5 g each) and a full size blush brush.

The three shades includes are: Treasured, a shimmery melon; Honored, a matte rosy nude; and Imagined, a matte bright pink.

The blushes in the set are the same quality as the single Tarte blushes that I have, so they look and perform just as well on the skin. The shades in the collection seem to offer a good variety, with Treasured offering a warm peachy option, Imagined a cool pink option, and Honored, a nice neutral shade for everyday.

For those curious, Honored is similiar to the permanent (and cult favorite) shade Exposed, but Honored has stronger rosy undertones.

The brush that's included is a nice, soft option for applying the blushes. I actually already have one just like from a Tarte TSV kit from QVC and since it has a smaller, less fluffy head, I like it for when I want a precise, concentrated application of blush.

Overall, this is great collection of blushes, so it would make an ideal gift for any of the makeup lovers in your life.

If you're thinking of purchasing the set for yourself and have never tried Tarte blushes before, you definitely can't go wrong either.

However, Tarte also has a blush palette out for the holidays, the Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette, which actually contains four blush shades, including Exposed and Dollface, two favorites from the permanent line, and the Park Avenue Princess Bronzer for $42. Exposed is probably my favorite blush shade of all-time, so I might recommend the palette to folks who've never tried the Amazonian Clay Blushes since you get the basics.

Of course, you could always get the palette and the mini blush set.

That's something I would probably do -- if I didn't already have 3 of the blush shades from the palette in full size.

You can purchase the Leave Her Blushing Set on Tarte's website for $34.

Are you a fan of the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blushes?  Which holiday set do you prefer -- the minis or the palette?
