The Balm Hot Ticket Nail Polish in Call Me Iridescent

The Balm Hot Ticket Polish in Call Me Iridescent

Last month when The Balm their last sale on Haute Look, I bought a bunch of goodies that I'm really excited to share over the next week or so.

I thought I'd start with a product that I haven't really seen too many bloggers talking about - the Balm's Hot Ticket Nail Polish.

I picked up the shade Call Me Iridescent, which is a gorgeous light pink shade with silver micro glitter.  As its name implies, the polish is slightly iridescent so it sort of flashes a light lilac in certain light. A single coat of the polish is fairly sheer, so I think it could be layered over other shades for a pretty effect.  However, it's worth nothing that it only took two coats to get the opaque coverage below.

I'm sorry to say that my photos simply do not do this shade justice - it's really so much more beautiful in person.

I wasn't expecting much, but the Balm's nail polish formula is quite nice.  I've mentioned before that I have issues with getting even the most expensive of polishes to last more than a couple of days on my nails without chipping. Call Me Iridescent has been on my nails for almost four days, and I've only just noticed a tiny bit of chipping now.  That's pretty fabulous in my book.

The other thing that I love about this polish is that while it's super glittery, the glitter pieces are very small compared to other glitter polishes like OPI's Teenage Dream or Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Strobe Light, two of my favorite pink glitter polishes, so Call Me Iridescent doesn't have the gritty feel on the nails that the others do.

I'm not sure how easy it is to take off yet, though, so I'll keep you posted.

What nail polish shade or formula are you loving lately?
