Favorite Fall Fragrance - Toyko Milk Paper & Cotton

I've got to be honest - I hate pretty much 99% of the perfumes that I try.

I don't think of myself as particularly sensitive to fragrance, but I find most perfumes to be too strong, heavy, too cloying.

I prefer light, clean scents or at least scents that are a bit softer.  I mean, my favorite perfume is LA VANILA's Vanilla Coconut  , which isn't exactly a light scent.  But it is nice and soft and warm - and I find it to be a good year round fragrance. 

I swear, I must wear it 9 times out of 10 when I actually remember to put perfume on.

Last year, after wanting to try the line for a long time, I purchased a couple of perfumes from Toyko Milk.  I just had to get their Poe's Tobacco fragrance (because I'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan and there's an adorable raven on the label) but I think there was a deal going on where you got a certain percentage off if you bought two or more.

So a whim, I picked up Paper & Cotton too.

Gold Star Products for June

So I was totally going to post my final review on the Balm goodies that I bought from the last Haute Look sale yesterday, but fate conspired against me.

Not only did I have camera issues, but my netbook died on me and I dropped my cell phone and shattered the screen.

Not a great day in these parts.

But then I realized this morning that it was nearly July 1st so I could do a June Favorites post today and that cheered me up a bit.

I really love these monthly favorites posts.  It's a lot of fun to share the things that I've been loving for some reason.

This will be another odds and ends post since I have a few little tidbits that I wanted to share.

Lavanila Vanilla Summer Rollerball

1. I received my free rollerball of Lavanila's Vanilla Summer from Sephora the other day. (You can read about how to get your own here.) Oh my God!  As delicious as the description of the scent sounded, the genuine article is even yummier. Vanilla, coconut, pineapple and other tropical goodness all in one amazing scent - it really is like summer in a bottle.  Supposedly, the scent is limited edition so I'm kind of feeling pressure to rush out and buy a full-size spray bottle.  It's that good.

Favorite Perfume

This is almost half my perfume collection - it's seriously that small.



I like smelling good.

That’s probably not too surprising. Most people like to smell good, right?

The thing is, I have a slight challenge when it comes to smelling good because I’m extremely picky when it come to perfumes and fragrances. I probably dislike 98% of the perfumes I try – and that’s a conservative estimate.

For me, most perfumes are just too strong and heavy. Some are so bad that they give me headaches if I wear them. I’m sensitive, I guess.
