Product Review -- Too Faced Natural Love Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

Over the past year or so, Too Faced's track record with eye shadow palettes has been pretty hit or miss.

For example, I absolutely adore the Sweet Peach Palette and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Shadow Collection, but on the other hand, the White Chocolate Chip Eye Shadow Palette and Peanut Butter and Honey Eye Shadow Collection  were just a whole lot of 'meh' in my book.

So I had pretty much decided that I wasn't going to purchase the Natural Love Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Collection -- 1), because I wasn't so sure how good it would and 2) because there were some repeats from previous Too Faced Palettes that I already own.

I faltered a little when I saw a photo of it because it certainly looked beautiful, but I still held strong.

Until Emily Noel from You Tube  reviewed it pretty glowingly and since I always feel like I can trust her opinions, I bit the bullet and ordered the palette.

And the good news is, I definitely don't regret it.

The palette comes in a sturdy cardboard compact with adorable flower and bunny artwork on the cover. Some of the images are embossed with a velvet-like material, which makes the whole thing even cuter.

Inside, there is a decent size mirror, but the palette doesn't stay open by itself so you need to prop it against something.

The palette contains 30 eye shadows in a mixture of matte, shimmer, and glitter shades.

Right off the bat, I'll say that this palette isn't for everyone.

If you don't like neutrals, if you already have a ton of neutral palettes, or if you already have a few of Too Faced's neutral palettes in the small tins, then you probably won't be too impressed with one.

However, if you can't get enough of neutrals or are looking for a single palette that contains nearly ever neutral or natural shade that you could want, then I think this one is definitely worth checking out.

Unlike some of the disappointing palettes that Too Faced has put out recently, the shadows in Natural Love are quite nice. The matte shades are smooth and creamy -- they blend really nicely, like some of my favorite Too Faced mattes -- and the shimmer shades are super pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with.

There are a couple of shades that are a little lackluster, such as Fairy Tale, which is kind of sheer, chunky glitter shade, but for the most part, they're all really nice.

I really like the color selection for the palette too. While there are quite a few warm tones, such as Hot & Bothered, Cutie Patootie, and Makeup & Chill, there are also some pretty cool shades, such as Smokin' and Love Bug. They also run the range from light, mid-tone, and dark shades, so you can do a wide range of looks with this one palette.

Love Bug is a particular favorite of mine, as is Moonbeam and Push-Up, which is a repeat from Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette.

For my fair skin, Honey Butter is an absolute ideal transition shade so that's a favorite too.

Too Faced also includes a little booklet that not only features several step-by-step eye looks but a timeline of Too Faced's natural or neutral eye palettes, which is kind of cool.

The palette retails for $59, which is fairly steep -- but you do get 30 shadows so it is a pretty good deal.

You can purchase the palette on the Too Faced website, Sephora, or Ulta.

Have you tried the Too Faced Natural Love Ultimate Neutral Eye Shadow Collection? Which shades are your favorites?
