Product Review -- Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Highlighter

Like pretty much every makeup brand, Makeup Revolution offers a lot of hits and misses.

And a bunch of sort okay products that'll work or not work depending on the individual.

I really like the brand, though, because even though they don't get every product exactly right, they're always trying new things and offering up budget-friendly alternatives to higher end products.

In my mind, though, what they really excel at is highlighters.

Recently, I reviewed the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter and declared that it was my very favorite drugstore highlighter.

I think I may have to change my mind about that, though ... because since then I've tried the Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Highlighter, which has pretty much blown my mind.

Like the Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher that I reviewed recently, the Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Highlighter comes in a heart-shaped cardboard box that's similar to the Too Faced Sweethearts Blush packaging.

The compact contains a generous 10 grams of product, so you're going to have this highlighter for a long, long time.

And it's only $7!

But that doesn't matter if the highlighter isn't any good, right?

For me, this is one is so amazing that I haven't used another one since I got it about two weeks ago.

The Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Highlighter comes in three shades, but I purchased it in Goddess of Faith, which is a very pale pink.

This highlighter doesn't contain any glitter or big chunks of shimmer. It is intensely glowy, though -- like a wham! in your face kind of highlighter. I would describe the finish as slightly metallic so it catches the light beautifully.

Full disclosure -- whenever I'm wearing this highlighter, I find myself turning my head in front of every mirror I pass because I just love the glow that it provides.

The texture of the powder is very thin and smooth, so it blends into the skin easily. And because it's thin, you can build it up to get the most intense of intense highlights if that's your thing (and I certainly won't judge anyone for wanting that... I want it myself sometimes).

I am so obsessed with this highlighter that I've ordered one of the other shades (one of the shades looks very yellow and I don't think it would be very flattering on skin, so that's the only reason I didn't get all of them) and I am waiting not-so-patiently for it to arrive.

I definitely recommend checking it out if you want a highlighter that gives you tons and tons (and tons...) of bang for your buck.

You can purchase it on the Ulta website and some of the shades appear to believe available at Superdrug in the U.K. I'm not entirely sure if it's available in other countries, though. Feel free to leave a note in the comments if you know of other locations to find the highlighter.

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Highlighter? Which shade is your favorite?
