Product Review -- Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette

I've mentioned before that I've kind of become obsessed with blush palettes lately.

I just love having a bunch of pretty colors in one convenient place.

Most of the blush palettes that I've picked up are on the pricey side, so I was really excited to try the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette -- because for just $10, you get eight shades.

That's a pretty great deal, right?

Like most of the Makeup Revolution palettes, the Ultra Blush Palette comes in black plastic packaging. There's a decent size mirror on the inside that would work pretty well for doing your makeup while traveling.

Inside, you get a mix of matte, shimmer, and baked blushes.

I purchased the palette in the shade Hot Spice, which features a variety of warm shades, including peaches and corals.  There are four shimmer blushes, two mattes, and two baked blushes. The baked shades have a lovely sheen and are on the sheerer side, so they can work well as highlighters, especially if you have medium or darker skin.

All of the blushes are nicely pigmented, and have a nice smooth texture. Even the matte shades apply and blend easily. The shimmer shades aren't overly shimmery either, so they work well even if you have oily skin or enlarged pores.

While these aren't the longest-wearing blushes I've ever used, they do make it a good six or seven hours on my skin (which has a habit of eating blush for some reason), which is pretty impressive, if you ask me.

And you get all of this for just $10.

I think that's pretty amazing.

The palette also comes in another color selection, Sugar & Spice, which is mostly pinky shades.

I definitely recommend checking out these palettes if you're the market for some new blushes.
