Product Review -- Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palette

I love a good eye shadow palette, but I'm always lured in by the convenience of a palette that combines eye and cheek products in one.

They're obviously great for travel, but I also really like them for days when I don't want to think too much about my makeup.

I was especially intrigued by Stila's Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palettes, though, because they created four different color schemes to complement various skin tones.
They're available in Fair/Light, Light/Medium, Medium/Tan, and Tan/Deep.

Of course, I purchased the palette in Fair/Light.

(For the record, I think anyone could wear any of these palettes, though some of the shades are obviously more complementary for certain skin tones than others. If you like a color scheme that doesn't match your skin tone, I'd still pick it up.)

The palette comes in a square gold compact with a subtle animal print embossed on it. There is a decent sized mirror on the inside, which stays open by itself so it works well for doing your makeup on the go.

Each palette contains five eye colors and two cheek colors. The Fair/Light palette features alluring, a matte pale pink; breathtaking, a matte ivory; dynamic, a matte light brown; passionate, a shimmery champagne; and glamorous, a matte chocolate brown. The two blushes are romantic, a matte pale pink, and playful, a matte rose.

The shadows are all quite nice -- breathtaking is a little bit on the sheer side, but like the rest of them, it's smooth, creamy, and easy to blend. The other are nicely pigmented too. I wouldn't say that there are a great variety of looks that you can do with the palette, but it's meant to be a pretty basic collection of colors, I think, so that doesn't bother me.

The blushes are both nice as well. Romantic is a very light shade, so it's definitely well suited for fair or light skin. There's a chance that it might look ashy on darker skin tones. Playful is a shade that would work on well on pretty much any skin tone, though, and it's perfect for a palette like this too, because it's a nice basic shade that you can wear with a light, simple eye or a smokier, darker look.

If you're in the market for an eye and cheek palette that's perfect for travel, I would definitely recommend checking these out.

The palettes retail for $39, and are available at the Stila website, Ulta, and Sephora.

Have you tried the Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye & Cheek Palettes? Which one is your favorite?
