Review -- Clinique Cheek Pops

What's better than a gorgeous, natural-looking blush?

How about one that features an adorable daisy design etched into the powder?

That's what Clinique's Cheek Pop Blushes deliver -- and seriously, these are probably the prettiest looking blushes just sitting in my makeup drawer.

I started out with a single one when the line first launched a little over a year ago (and never got around reviewing!) and then purchased two more a few months ago when they added new shades -- and I've got to say, I really do love these blushes.

I have Ginger Pop, a bright peachy coral; Rosy Pop, a bright rosy pink; and Fig Pop, a neutral peachy nude.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes

From l. to r.: Rosy Pop, Ginger Pop, Fig Pop
All of these blushes have extremely slight, subtle shimmer that really helps gives the cheeks a pretty glow. The formula is extremely lightweight and blendable, so they really look natural on the skin.

They're very pigmented too, so you don't need a ton of product to achieve a major impact on the cheeks -- I think that also makes them ideal for medium and darker skin tones.

The Cheek Pops also last a good long while -- I can usually get six or more hours of wear out of them, which is pretty good for my makeup-eating skin.

From l. to r.: Rosy Pop, Ginger Pop, Fig Pop
Of the three shades I have, I think Fig Pop is my favorite just because it's fairly neutral and can be worn with pretty much any eye or lip shade. Ginger Pop is perfect for days when I go for warm tones on the eyes, while Rosy Pop pairs well with cool toned eye looks.

The one downside to these blushes is that they're $21 each, which is fairly steep for a single blush. You are getting serious value with them, though, so they're one of those splurges that feels worth it to me. I definitely plan on getting more in the future -- Cola Pop and Heather Pop are practically screaming my name.

You can pick the Cheek Pops up at Sephora and Clinique's website.

If you're in the market for a seriously pigmented, long-wearing blush, I definitely recommend taking a look at these.

Have you tried the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes? Which shade is your favorite?

    1. Yeah, I'm kind of the same way... but that didn't stop me. :P There are some unique shades in the line, though, so they might be worth checking out.
