Product Alert -- bareMinerals Glamour Now TSV A/D Installment #2 Destination Gorgeous

Back in November, I ordered the bareMinerals holiday TSV from QVC, Glamour Now, and it was a a really good one.

This week, my UPS guy brought me the second installment in the auto-delivery series, Destination Gorgeous, and I'm loving it just as much as the first kit.

The second collection includes:
  • Brightening Pearl Perfect Light Mineral Veil Finishing Powder
  • Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Exotic Escape
  • Smoke & Define Double-Ended Kohl & Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black and Teal
  • Tropical Sunset Blush
  • mini Ready Luminizer in The Five Star Treatment
  • Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara
  • Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Glamorista
  • Soft Sweet Cheek Brush
  • Full Tapered Shadow Brush

BE Glamour Now TSV A/D #2 -
All of the products, except the mascara and eyeliner, come in rose gold metallic packaging, which is very pretty but shows fingerprints like nobody's business.

The products that are exactly the same from the original TSV collection are the Brightening Pearl Perfect Light Mineral Veil Finishing Powder, which is a nice, lightweight powder (though I don't notice any real brightening effect on my fair skin), and the Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara, which is one of my favorite mascaras (before I ordered this TSV on auto-delivery, I actually bought a full-size of the mascara because I liked it so much after trying a sample. I NEVER buy high-end mascaras, so take that for what it's worth.)

It also comes with a Soft Sweep Cheek Brush and Full Tapered Shadow Brush. I don't think BE's brushes are the softest in the world, but I do like to use them for travel.

The Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Exotic Escape features High Life, a shimmery ivory with slight gold undertones; Indulge, a satin-y gray lavender; Editor's Pick, a metallic teal; and Undercover, a shimmery granite.

These are colors that I'd necessarily think to wear together, but I really like the look I've done the last two days -- High Life on the brow bone and inner corner, Indulge on the lid, Undercover through the crease, and Editor's Pick in the outer corner and beneath the lower lashline. It's a little smoky, but still soft.

Like all of BE's Ready shadows, these are really nice and easy to work with.

The Smoke & Define Eyeliner is a double-ended product with a kohl liner on one end and a liquid liner on the other. It's pretty convenient, particularly if you're traveling.

In Destination Gorgeous, the kohl liner is in Jet Black and the liquid liner is Teal.

I love the color of the liquid liner, but as someone who struggles to apply liquid liner, I find that a striking shade like this is a lot more unforgiving than a basic black. The few times I've applied it, I've had to go over it with Editor's Pick to smoke it out and hide my shaky lines.

If you're skilled at applying liquid liner, though, I think you'll love this formula and the gorgeous shade.

The kohl end is a standard liner, but performs pretty well.

The Tropical Sunset Blush is a traditional loose mineral blush. It is a lovely bright pink that appears to be matte. While it's a bolder color, it isn't too much for my fair skin. I just use a duo-fiber brush to make sure that I don't apply too much and look like a clown. I think that it would be absolutely gorgeous on darker skin tones, though.

The Ready Luminizer in The Five Star Treatment looks a little dark in the pan, so I didn't think it would work as a highlighter for me. But it's actually a lovely pale pink champagne shade that work well to illuminate my fair skin.

The finish is definitely shimmery, but there's no chunky glitter so I really like the effect.

I absolutely love the Marvelous Moxie Lipglosses, and the shade in this kit, Glamourista, is a beautiful semi-sheer mid-tone pink with purple microshimmer throughout.

I'm really enjoying all of the colors in Destination Gorgeous, but they're all pretty much cool toned so if you prefer warm colors, you may not be a fan of this collection.

I've worn most of the products from the kit the past two days and really love the look.

What do you think of the bareMinerals Glamour Now Destination Gorgeous Collection?

  1. My shipment got bumped back (again), so it isn't scheduled to ship until 5/15. :-( I hope it doesn't get canceled completely. That would really stink. The colors look really nice. Thanks for sharing your swatches.

  2. Oh, that really stinks! And seems weird that some kits would ship and others wouldn't. I know that happens sometimes when there are foundations or concealers in different shades in the kit and they haven't gotten the entire range in stock yet, but that's not the case here. I hope yours arrives sooner rather than later. :)
