Fall Eyeshadow Picks -- bareMinerals Ready 4.0 in The Bronze Age and Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Photo Focus Eyeshadow in Desert Festival

I am a firm believer that you should wear whatever makeup shades you like no matter what your skin tone or what season it is.

Wear what makes you happy on any given day is basically my philosophy.

But I will admit that I do tend to gravitate toward certain shades depending on the time of year -- I love pastel eye shadow and nail polish in the spring, for example, and cobalt blue eyeliner in the summer.

For the fall, I love warm bronze, brown, and orange shades that remind me of falling leaves -- they also bring out my blue eyes like nobody's business, so that doesn't hurt either.

If you're  a fan of autumnal shades when the weather starts to cool down like me, I thought I would share a couple of eye shadow quads/quints that I think are perfect for the fall -- and I've got one high end and one drugstore option, so there should be something to fit any budget.

The shadow quad that I'm most excited about for this fall, though, is definitely bareMinerals Ready 4.0 in The Bronze Age.

Like all of the Ready shadows, the formula is impeccable -- the shadows are soft, creamy, and easy to blend, and they're beautifully pigmented so a little goes a long way.

The quad includes Empress, a soft matte peach; Bragging Rights, a metallic copper; Ritzy, a shimmery golden brown; and Dynasty, a matte smoky brown.

These shades all work perfectly together for a gorgeous fall smokey eye -- and Bragging Rights may be the most gorgeous copper shade I've ever used. (If you've got blue eyes, I kind of feel like you *need* this quad just for that shadow alone.)

It seems like QVC is the only place that this quad is available, and it retails for $31 plus $4.47 s/h.

If you're looking for a more affordable fall eye shadow option, the Wet n Wild Photo Op Eyeshadow quint in Desert Festival from the Fergie Centerstage Collection is an ideal alternative.

I picked it up at my local Walgreen's for about $5, so it's definitely budget-friendly.

The quint contains a beige satin, a matte orange, a metallic copper, a matte black brown with gold micro-glitter, and a matte chocolate brown.

These shadows may not feel quite as luxurious as the bareMinerals quad, but they are nicely pigmented and easy to work with. A steal for $5 if you ask me.

I plan to use both shadow collections quite a bit this fall (which I wish would hurry up and get here already because I can't wait to bust out my sweaters and boots again.)

(I realize as I write this that finding these products outside the U.S. might be an issue. I apologize for not finding options that are more widely available. I have a review of Makeup Geek's Vegas Lights Palette coming up in a few days, and those shades are also perfect for fall -- and they ship worldwide, so you may want to stay tuned for that.)

Fall is my favorite season and fall makeup is one of the biggest reasons, so I'm thinking about doing similar post about fall lipstick and blush picks too. Keep an eye out for that.

What are your favorite eye shadow colors to wear for fall? Is there a particular quad or palette that you like to use for the season?
