Laura Geller Beauty Off the Vine AD Shipment #3 from QVC

Work has been a little hectic this week (Yeah, and it's only Wednesday...) so when my UPS guy showed up with a package from QVC this morning, it was just the distraction I needed from work craziness.

Today's package was the third and final installment of the Laura Geller Beauty Off the Vine TSV which was originally available in December. (You can read about the first and second installments here.) The products in these kits all supposedly contain powerful anti-aging ingredients that are derived from grapes, including grapeseed oil and resveratrol -- hence the wine theme.

Like the first two kits, the third installment contains the Spackle Supercharged Fortified Under Makeup Primer, Take Cover Anti-Aging Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF20 with Skin Self-Defense Complex, and a fun lip-shaped wine glass charm.

I'm a big fan of the Spackle Supercharged -- it's lightly moisturizing so it's a great primer for normal to dry skin types.  I also think the Take Cover Anti-Aging Foundation is quite nice.  It offers medium coverage and also offers light moisture so it is perfect for normal, dry, and mature skin. My one issue with it is that the lightest shade, Fair, is a bit too dark for my skin. I can get away with it in the summer when I'm more likely to use bronzer, but otherwise, I need to mix it with a lighter foundation to get it to look right.

Which is a shame, because I do genuinely like the formula and finish.

Oh well.

The Baked ImPRESSions Blush is in the shade Vintage Rosé.  To my eyes, though, it has definite peachy undertones, but it has a very natural look on the skin. It has a matte finish, too, so you don't have to worry about it accentuating pores or fine lines.  I really like the shade and think I'll get a lot of use out of it.

The Baked ImPRESSions Eyeshadow Duo is in the shade First Harvest.  It contains a matte midtone olive green and a pale golden taupe that seems to have a satin finish. These colors seem perfect for the summer to fall transition since there's something fresh about the green and gold-ish combination, but the colors also have a somewhat earthy look that makes me think of fall.  I like the duo quite a bit.

The Color Enriched Anti-Aging Lipstick in Tawny Tannin is probably my favorite item in the entire kit.  When I first saw it in the tube, I was a little worried because it looked like a brownish nude, which is not a shade that usually looks good on me.  On the lips, though, it's a peachy nude, which is one of my favorite kind of shades.  It also has a nice glossy finish and feels pretty moisturizing on the lips.

I should also point out that while all the lipsticks in these kits are supposedly wine-scented, Tawny Tannin is the first shade that I've noticed it with. It really does smell like a glass of red wine, which is kind of neat.

All in all, I really like the shades in this kit.  The formula of all the color products is also excellent. While the shadows and blush are mostly matte, they aren't chalky or difficult to blend at all.  And I am in love with the lipstick for sure.

What do you think of the colors in this kit?  Are you a fan of nude lipsticks?  Which type of nude shade is your favorite?
